Atal Innovation Mission has collaborated with the School Education Department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, and the University of Kashmir to tailor ATL expansion to the region’s geography and institutions.

- Government Schools Inclusion Aided Schools Private Schools
- Kendriya Vidyalaya
- Army Goodwill Schools Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya
The application framework has also relaxed infrastructure and enrollment requirements to make participation easier for remote and geographically difficult institutions.
This flexible approach does not penalise institutions that deserve to be on the list for uncontrollable reasons.

What is Atal tinkering lab?
Under the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), a government of India program, schools are given space to create new things. These spaces are called Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL). The purpose of these labs is to help students be creative, come up with new ideas, and learn by doing.
